Parking charge notice ( I THINK WELL unfair what can i do) Advice please?
Ok ok. I am a night manager at Tesco in halifax town centre.
Due to this being on the high street parking is limited and Tesco have four parking spaces for managers in the delivery yard.
This yard is then patrolled by Vechicle control services, there is no permit or ticket system, the deal was. that the company was to send in a patrol officer who would then collect an updated list of car registrations after I informed them that there were new managers working at the store ( myself included).
However no-one ever came in.
To play in on the safe side myself and the other manager got into the habit of leaving MANAGER AT TESCO signs stuck to our windshileds.
One day when we came to work they were two cars parked in our spaces. dont know whos cars they were, but know they shouldnt have been there. WE are right on the high street you see and parking in halifax cost ?10 a day so some people will try it on and park in our yard.
That day, we both had pcn stuck to our windsheilds.
Demanding ?81 or ?120 if not paid in 7 days
Reason:
parked in innocrrect area of the carpark.
Because of the other two cars, we were forced to park next to them, which ment we were on the reamins of once a yellow box, which is their to indicate gow much room our delivery wagons need to turn around. the box is borken, worn as it was painted 34 years ago, literally, its an old store, and therefore only 1 wheel of my car was on this yellow paint, just about 1/2 a meter of broken yellow line.
The parking signs dont state where you can and cant park as there isnt any parking bays marked out. We just park by the top wall as our cars are out of the way of the delivery wagons . Does the highway code not state that yellow boxes have to be complete for them to be valid? also the warning signs do not state where to park or that parking on the yellow boxes whats left of them is permitted.
Anyway so Kerry chickened out and paid the fine.
I sent them a letter explaining that im a manager, that they should have got the list, and the reasons that my car may have looked like it was parked on the remainder of a yellow box. I Have not admitted I was parked on the yellow box ( I moved my car back of the yellow line and took photos and sent them to them, also took photos of the yellow box, the signage pointing out that this is why the ticket is unfair.
They then sent me a letter explaing they had not found grounds of dissmal, and that because 7 days had passed i now owed them ?120 ( EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM THE LETTER & E-MAIL the following day) or face court action with further costs.
Ive written back to them again explaining that im happy for them to take me to court as im not guilty.
has anyone else had any similar problems, they now say that Tesco isnt a client of theirs therefore they couldnt give me permisson to park their. I thought, if they are not a client, why are they patrolling the Tesco yard then>?
there is not right or wrong side. Theres no pakring bays. We just park by the wall because its out of the way of the delivery wagons.
If this company did not wanted us parking in a certain area of the carpark, why didnt they clearly mark out where, by using a little invention called PARKING BAYS?
FACT is I had 1 wheel parked on yellow line, I sent them pictures of the broken box itself not the car on it

See that’s exactly why they didn’t give credibility to your pictures, they know people can do that.
It doesn’t matter why you were parked on the wrong side, the fact is that you were parked on the wrong side.

I am local to the Brooklyn Park, Linthicum, Glen Burnie, Baltimore, Ferndale area.
I am in the 10th grade and I am 14 years old because I skipped the 7th grade.
I have 3 little sisters, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
I babysit a lot for family but of course i dont get paid, and with the economy how it is, my parents cant pay for everything,
and what other job can a 14 year old get? (I would only want about $2 - $3 an hour per kid)
I used to have a job at Vince’s Produce but they are a seasonal business so they are closed now.
I have had to grow up quickly so I am very mature and responsible.
Ive taken CRP classes (not certified though) and
Child Development classes so I know a lot of the health rules of yonger children.
I would like to babysit kids from age 2 and older. (potty trained is great)
I am used to watching 3 or 4 kids at a time so I would say no more than 5 unless they are older, like 5yrs+.
I am also in school from 7am to 2:05pm Mon. - Fri. so i can do any days after school and weekends.
If the kid(s) need to be watched say from 12pm - 6pm, I got it covered.
The kid(s) can be taken to my house and dropped off, because my mom is a stay at home mom and she can watch them until I was home.
The weekends, I can babysit from whatever hour needed in the morning to whatever hour needed at night.
I am allowed to go to your house too if the kid(s) are more comfortable there.

Try Craigslist in your area. Or better yet friends and neighbors. Just as hard as it is for people to trust you (a stranger) with their children it should be just as hard for you to trust random strangers off of the internet to go into their homes. People are creeps. Be careful!

Show that was cancelled on NBC or ABC a few years ago?
It aired near the time of LOST got popular. I’m fairly sure it was a short title, like "Deep" or something like that (some water reference, 1 or 2 words-ish)… it was about a teenage boy that stumbled across this egg clinging to abuoy when he was out wakeboarding in the night with his friends. Then the creature hatches out of the egg and so forth. I think he may have named the creature "Nim" (it doesn’t help to Google because all I get is Nim’s Island). I may be off on the names, but I use to love the show and just thought about looking it up. Any ideas?

Well, your numbers are somewhat skewed. Here is a link to a site that will, at least, give you some correct numbers. You will find that it is young drivers who are most likely to drive drunk, not the 30 and 40 year old bracket. One disturbing statistic noted here is that problem drinkers, about 7% of the driving population, account for a whopping 66% of all alcohol related fatal accidents.

There is no excuse. I think it should be a capital offense if you kill someone while drunk driving.

It has nothing to do with maturity rates. In the past few years females of the younger generation have proven themselves to be just as immature as their male counterparts, and in some cases even worse. The point here is that men consume more alcohol more frequently, and drive more than women. Statistics pulled from NCIC show that women also receive verbal warnings more than twice as often as men.

Close Encounters of a Third Kind is about these aliens who are forgotten.
And Dial M for Murder is about, an ex-tennis pro carries out an idea to murder his wife. When things go wrong, he improvises a brilliant plan B.
personally i think toostie would be the funniest, Close encounters of a third king would be sorta wierd, but interesting, and lastly i think the murder one would be a little inappropriate and not the best schol project!

Tootsie is the easiest to explain. It is also enjoyable to watch
Close Encounters has so much going on in it, but if you just take the simplest theme….."we’re not alone", it could be pretty simple to explain.
Dial M has a bunch going on in it too, and you may not enjoy watching it as much as the other two.

I would have to say Tootsie Dustin Hoffman is just a good actor and it is a classic for many reasons
Close encounters of the Close kind dragged on a bit and looks rather dated now.
Dial M for Murder is considered to be one of Hitchcock’s best films - though North by Northwest would be worth checking out

IMDB rating: 4.40 Plot: A real estate developer goes to his 25th high school reunion without his wife, and finds his old teenage band playing. They get him up on stage for a couple of songs, and convince him come to a rehearsal. His wife is outraged that he played. His daughter thinks it’s kind of cool. His Mother, in a retirement home, encourages him to enjoy life. He feels some temporary relief from the pressures of business complexities and the stress of marriage tensions. The band gets booked at a popular bar, which leads to a last minute booking to open for a reunion tour, with the possibility of additional tour dates. But the band has internal conflicts. He faces a tough decision to give it a shot even though it will affect his marriage, his family, particularly his daughter, and his business. |

Here’s my start for you:
Ronald Reagan: Gets credit for inciting the demise of the Soviet Union. People have forgotten how afraid many were that the nukes would start flying any minute, or what a lie "trickle down economics" was.
Kurt Cobain: Gets credit for "changing the face of Rock." Ingenious snogwriter, sure, but the heroin addict blew his own head off at the peak of his career and personal life. And I don’t even think his was the best band in Seattle, never mind the world.
Lee Iaccoca: The "brilliant businessman" who gave the green light to the Mustang and "saved" Chrysler did so with the very first government bailout, which he paid back by selling us the "K" car platform, one of the most unreliable piece of crap lines of cars in automotive history, making millions of owners miserable-and, in turn, sending Chrysler on it’s way to the rancid state it’s in now.

What are the best 3rd person shooters for PS3?
I’m looking for something along the lines of Gears of War and Terminator: Salvation. I don’t like 1st person shooters cuz they make me dizzy. Any good recommendations?
Also looking for 3rd person coop game play both local and online.
What about 2 player games? I just got the PS3 for xmas and am looking to build my library.
So far I have Tomb Raider: Underworld, Silent Hill: Homecoming, both Ratchet & Clank games, Wet, Heavenly Sword, and Terminator: Salvation
Uncharted 1 & 2
Assasins Creed 2 (not a shooter but still a great third person game)
Modern Warfare 2 (has third person mode thats pretty good.)

Uhm, I’m not sure if you would class these as 3rd person shooters but well here is what I think
Ratchet And Clank: A Crack In Time
It is a really great series of games that have been going on since something like 2001 and the weapons in the games are always so unique. They are either funny or really awesome.
Fallout 3
This game is mostly 1st person but you can change to 3rd person anytime. It has to do with DC like 100 years after a nuclear attack. Its a very massive game.

devil may cry 4 is a brilliant game . it is actually a mix of guns and sword fighting techniques blended perfectly. i recommend that game.
